The SMWG Standard Hair Ready Rigs are the perfect hooklength option for hair rigging softer hookbaits like corn, meat, bread, wafters, pellets, and even worms. The Standard Hair Rig features a simple hair length with a loop in the end, where a Micro Hair Stop needs to be used to keep the hookbait in place. There is also a tiny piece of 0.3mm Micro silicone on the shank of the hook which is there to keep the hookbait in place and make sure the rig is working perfectly.
The SMWG Standard Hair Ready Rigs are the perfect commercial hooklength option, ideal for all running line and pole fishing requirements. The SMWG Ready Rigs are perfect for fish like carp, F1’s, bream, tench, etc.
The SMWG is a super strong hook pattern that features a super-sharp hook point and a wide gape that gives you maximum hook hold. All SMWG hooks are PTFE coated which significantly improve the hooks durability, sharpness and longevity.
The process of using the SMWG Standard Hair Rig is quick and easy. Firstly, you will need a baiting needle, such as Speedmesh Needle or Super Fine Baiting Needle. Push the needle through your chosen hookbait, then attach the small loop in the end of the Ready rig on to the Needle hook. Keeping the line tight on the Ready Rig simply push the hookbait on to the hair and then trap it in place with one of our Micro Hair Stops. We recommend matching the relevant Micro Hair Stop colour to your chosen hookbait, for optimum hookbait presentation. For example, use the yellow Stop when using corn, etc.
