The new and refined components of the Thistledown 2 fly line combine to give the thinnest, most supple, weight forward profile possible. The result is a line which weighs very little and delivers incredible stealth and accuracy at the same time. The ultra-thin diameter - half that of a conventional fly line - creates minimal drag when casting. That means the line speed can be maintained throughout the casting action and delivers the fly (or flies) precisely where required, with minimal effort. As its drag coefficient is so low, even in a strong cross-wind this line will cut through and deliver.
The original #2/5 weight Thistledown fly line is updated with an even finer braided core allowing a thicker coating, whilst maintaining the same overall diameter, providing and even higher floating line than the original version. The updates also bring the addition of a #5/7wt option.
A lighter weight version designed for rods of #1 to #4 weight. The #1/4 model has a shorter, lighter profile than the #2/5 and #5/7 variations, providing super, delicate presentation with the lightest of rods.
